President Takashi Matsuoka from Doshisha University visited Fudan University on December 16. Madam Jiao Yang, Chairperson of University Council of Fudan University received the delegation.

The two universities reviewed the fruitful cooperation in the past and expressed willingness to deepen the ties by facilitating collaboration and launching more student exchange programs.

The friendship between Doshisha University and Fudan University can be dated back to almost 15 years ago, with agreements for faculty and student exchanges. School of Social Development and Public Policy of Fudan University signed a new agreement with College of Social Science of Doshisha University on student exchanges.

The delegation visited Daikin Lecture Hall, which was built in appreciation of the generous donation made at the 100th anniversary of Fudan University by Daikin Industries, Ltd., whose president is an alumnus of Doshisha University. 

Vice President of Fudan University Chen Zhimin also attended the meeting, joined by representatives from Office of International Affairs of Doshisha University, and Office of Global Partnerships, College of Foreign Languages and Literatures, School of Social Development and Public Policy, School of Economics and Center for Japanese Studies of Fudan University.
